MNHS Wins 2014 Central Jersey High School Traffic Safety Challenge
Manalapan High School Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) recently won $100 for succeeding in the Central Jersey High School Traffic Safety Challenge. The students won the cash award for having the highest percentage of restrained drivers. Their efforts helped enhance seatbelt compliance from 73% to 93% at Manalapan High School. Edison, Howell, Marlboro, North Brunswick, Old Bridge, and Scotch Plains-Fanwood high schools were among the participating schools. The Central Jersey High School Traffic Challenge is sponsored by the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Injury Prevention Coalition which works to educate teens about ways to prevent crashes and reduce injuries.
