Freehold Regional High School Students Named to Royal Court at CentraState Celebration Ball
CentraState Healthcare Foundation crowned a new Queen at the 53rd Annual Celebration Ball held on February 7th at South Gate Manor. Lauren Piccolini of Colts Neck High School was awarded the 2015 title. Lauren was sponsored by Clayton and McGirr Funeral Home. She and her fellow contestants raised over $37,000 in donations and gifts in kind for CentraState’s Comprehensive Lung Care Program.
The royal court included first runner up Gina Gambardella, of Manalapan High School who was sponsored by Central Jersey Emergency Medicine; second runner up Ashlyn Barkalow who attends St. John Vianney High School and was sponsored by East Freehold Fire Dept.; and third runner up Sarah Marinelli, of Freehold High School who was sponsored by Gordon and Miller, DDS.
CentraState would also like to recognize Sydney Frankel of Freehold Township High School, who was sponsored by Fireside Restaurant; Sydney Sweetman of Howell High School, who was sponsored by GreatRestaurants NJ; and Anisha Yerram of Freehold High School, who was sponsored by Ethnic Spice for doing a wonderful job and participating in the contest.
The Celebration Ball Queen Contest is open to young ladies who are at least 15 years old. Contestants are challenged to raise money for a program or service at CentraState. Each dollar raised counts as one vote. The contestant who has the most votes is crowned Queen of the Ball. Prizes are awarded including several scholarships totaling $3,500.
