Students in the Law & Public Service Magnet Program at Colts Neck High School recently heard from Mary Beth Tinker, a free speech advocate who was the subject of the United States Supreme Court case-Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School District as a teenager. The court case focused on freedom of speech in a school setting.

On December 16th, students heard from Ms. Tinker during a virtual session in which they discussed student rights. After her presentation, students were able to have a further discussion with Ms. Tinker.
