CNHS Mock Trial Team Wins the Monmouth County Mock Trial Competition
The Colts Neck High School Mock Trial Team won the 2021 Vincent J. Apruzzese Monmouth County Mock Trial Competition, which was held virtually for the first time due to the pandemic. The Vincent J. Apruzzese Mock Trial Competition is sponsored by the New Jersey State Bar Foundation. The competition, now in its 39th year, is one of the nation’s foremost contests of its kind for high school students. The competition was created for the purpose of stimulating and encouraging a deeper understanding and appreciation of the American legal system. The competition relies heavily on the Monmouth County Bar Association and the Monmouth County Superior Court to run successfully.
This year's competition ran from January 12th through January 20th. Colts Neck’s team won each of its trials, posting a 5-0 record. They will represent Monmouth County in the Central Jersey Regional Mock Trial Competition starting on February 3rd.
