FRHSD Hosts 1st Summer College Application Boot-Camp
Incoming seniors were able to get a head start on the college application process by participating in the Freehold Regional High School District’s first Summer College Application Boot-Camp. The program was organized by the district’s Department of Guidance.
During the three-day program, students were able to conduct a college search, identify their “best fit,” work on their college essay, and learn more about the admissions process. Counselors, teachers, and guidance supervisors supported the group of students in these activities.
On the first day of Boot-Camp, parents were invited to participate in sessions including “The Dos and Don’ts of Applying,” which included college admissions specialists for three different universities, and a financial aid presentation with a representative from the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority.
