CNHS Brothers Receive President’s Volunteer Service Awards
Daniel Lee and David Lee, both sophomores at Colts Neck High School, strive to be leaders through volunteer service. The brothers have spent time volunteering as teachers and helpers at a Korean learning school at the church they attend. Both boys have spent over 75 hours cleaning, teaching, and mentoring youth at the church.
All of their hard work did not go unnoticed, as both received a President’s Volunteer Service Award. According to its website, the President’s Volunteer Service Award encourages citizens to live a life of service through presidential gratitude and national recognition. The award recognizes individuals who have reached a certain number of hours of volunteer service over a 12-month time period or cumulative hours over the course of a lifetime. Daniel and David each received a silver medal for their volunteer service.
