FRHSD Community Update - August 6, 2020
Dear Freehold Regional Community,
The Freehold Regional High School District’s Restart Committee, comprised of close to 80 individuals including parents, teachers, students, health professionals, and community leaders, met for the third session on August 5 to continue to address challenges and create solutions to ensure a safe and successful reopening of our buildings. Input from our community members has been critical in shaping our evolving reopening plan. I cordially invite you to view the Restart Committee session by clicking here.
Currently, FRHSD is finalizing a comprehensive plan to reopen our schools which will be shared with our community on Tuesday, August 11. Due to the dynamic nature of COVID-19, our plan is designed to be nimble and responsive to changing circumstances and needs within our unique community. The Freehold Regional High School District Charting the Course to Reopening Schools Plan will include information on:
- Health & Safety Guidelines
- Maintaining Healthy Environments
- Hybrid Schedule
- Full-time Remote Choice Option
- Cohorts with specialized schedules
- Transportation
After reviewing the plan on August 11, parents will be asked to complete a questionnaire via the Genesis Parent Portal regarding their decision to have their child attend school in the Hybrid Schedule or the Full-time Remote Choice Option. Details regarding both options will be included in the plan.
Our school community will continue to work diligently to provide a responsive learning environment that prioritizes the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Thank you for your continued collaboration and vested interest in the health and education of our children.
Sincerely,
Charles B. Sampson, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
