District Hosts Delegation of Educators from Taiwan

A group of educators from New Taipei City, Taiwan recently spent time in local schools as part of a sister-district relationship. This special visit was one of an ongoing series of mutual cooperative events between the school districts.

Direct educator-to-educator contact during the visit was set to enhance international education and to broaden the global perspective of the participating school districts. For this visit, the theme centered around the acquisition of the English language. Many of the visiting teachers from Taiwan teach English as a World Language.

On November 8th, the delegation and school officials from across Monmouth County visited Freehold High School, where students in the Culinary Arts/Hospitality Magnet Program prepared lunch in the 5-Star Café.

New Taipei City is the most populous city in Taiwan with over four million inhabitants and it geographically surrounds the capital of Taipei. The New Taipei City Education Department manages about 400 public K-12 schools.
