MRHS Wins Monmouth County Consumer Bowl

Marlboro High School recently won the Monmouth County Consumer Bowl competition. The Consumer Bowl is a game-show-style competition for teams of high school students in Monmouth County.

Student teams from Freehold Township High School, Howell High School, Manalapan High School, Marlboro High School, Middletown North High School, and Raritan High School answered consumer-related questions in a multiple choice and open-ended format to test their knowledge of consumer issues, such as Internet fraud and buying and leasing automobiles.

Marlboro's winning team includes students Sean Gelman, Harris Pavlovsky, Benjamin Katz, Emma Corbin, and Ethan Smith, all students in Marlboro High School's Business Administration Magnet Program. The team's advisors are Patrick Scinto and Nicole Bendik.

The team will now compete in May for the state championship in Trenton.
