Computer Science Students Learn about Cybersecurity Careers
Krista Valenzuela, a senior cyber threat intelligence analyst with the New Jersey Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Cell, recently met with students in the Computer Science Magnet Program to discuss the field of cybersecurity.
On December 17th, Ms. Valenzuela visited Freehold High School to discuss career opportunities in cybersecurity. Ms. Valenzuela explained that while there are many openings in the field, that entry-level positions can be very competitive. She encouraged students to work on activities outside their classroom studies to set themselves apart when applying for jobs. Students were eager to ask questions at the end of the session.
