CNHS National Art Honor Society Creates Portraits for Children in Cameroon
Students in the National Art Honor Society at Colts Neck High School recently completed portraits to gift to children in Cameroon. For the past few years, the children in Cameroon have been living through a civil war and carrying daily fear of the violence around them, according to teacher Lauren Havemann. The Cameroonian children featured in the portraits have continued to attend school with hope and dedication for their future.
The National Art Honor Society created beautiful portraits to help cheer them up, spread some love, and let them know we care. The portraits will be delivered to the children to show them that others in the world care about them. Colts Neck’s art project was coordinated through the Memory Project, an organization that touches children’s lives through art.
