FTHS Family and Consumer Sciences Students Assist Local Organization

Students in the Family and Consumer Sciences’ classes at Freehold Township High School were busy baking cookies during the month of December.  While learning the basics of baking, students made cookies and gingerbread houses to donate to a local organization, Feed All God’s Children, an open door lunch program headed by Jim Benedict. The non-profit organization is open during lunchtime Mondays through Thursdays feeding hundreds of clients.  Approximately four dozen platters were donated in the hopes of bringing holiday cheer to many people this season.

In addition, a school-wide paper product drive was held at the school. Students and staff donated rolls of toilet paper, paper towels, napkins and tissues.  Over 500 items were collected and these items were also donated to the Feed All God’s Children program.
