FHS Sophomore Wins 1st Place in Regional Visual Arts Contest

Freehold High School’s Jocelynn Dow won first place in the Regional Visual Arts Contest at the 69th Annual Eastern Region Teen Conference of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. Jack and Jill is a national organization established in 1938 that encourages leadership development in children ages 2-19. Jocelynn’s submission, a painting entitled “The Queen,” was inspired by African Queen Makeda, also known as "the Queen of Sheba," who is celebrated for her beauty, strength, and boldness as a leader.
