FHS Sophomore Wins Second Place in Regional Shakespeare Competition
Jocelynn Dow won second place in the 2019 Shakespeare Competition for High School Students presented by the English-Speaking Union of America (ESU) Monmouth County Branch.
The sophomore qualified to participate in the regional competition after winning first place at the Freehold High School competition. At the ESU Competition Jocelynn recited Sonnet 141 and a piece from Antony and Cleopatra. Her recitation earned her second place honors.
The ESU is an international organization committed to promoting scholarship and the advancement of knowledge and communication through the effective use of the English language.
