Students at FHS Code Their Way Through Healthcare Challenges

Students at Freehold High School had a unique opportunity to work alongside representatives from Merck pharmaceuticals in an organized coding event.

Groups of participating students were tasked with three different challenges. The first focused on patient user interface and participants were asked to develop a user interface for patients to interact with to provide necessary data to clinical trial researchers. The second challenge asked students to identify certain personal contextual parameters that are critical to ensuring healthy outcomes. The group was asked how these parameters influence each other to strive for a healthier life. The third challenge focused on music therapy in the NICU.
