CNHS Senior Receives Raymond Kershaw Youth Humanitarian of the Year Award

Caitlin Grassi Caitlin Grassi, a senior at Colts Neck High School, received the Raymond Kershaw Youth Humanitarian of the Year Award for 2018. She was recognized by the Freehold Township Human Relations Council at a recent Township Committee meeting. May 23rd was proclaimed Caitlin Grassi Day in Freehold Township by the township’s committee.

The award is named for the late Raymond Kershaw, a former member of the Freehold Township Committee. It includes a proclamation from the Township Committee and a $1,000 gift.

The Human Relations Council offers the award to recognize a Freehold Township high school student who demonstrates the behaviors consistent with the council’s mission, which is to foster and promote good will and cooperation among residents of Freehold Township, mediate cultural problems, offer forums and review stereotyping and bias incidents, and whose activities support those of the council.

Caitlin was selected based on her dedication to helping the Make-A-Wish New Jersey. Caitlin is a student in the Law and Public Service Magnet Program.
