HHS Relay for Life Event Ranks 8th in the United States for Fundraising

On October 28th, the American Cancer Society’s Celebration of Hope event honored Howell High School’s Relay for Life committee at the Asbury Hotel. Howell’s Relay for Life event was ranked #8 in the United States for fundraising. Last year the group raised $120,752.

Relay for Life is the world’s largest fundraising event to save lives from cancer. Howell High school has been hosting Relay events for the past seven years. Howell’s event has grown consistently each year with more participants and monies raised every event.

The group was also recognized for the number of registered survivors and American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (CAN) members that participated in Howell’s event.

The Relay for Life committee has been busy planning for the 2020 event which will be held on June 12, 2020, on the school’s baseball field. Anyone interested in participating and/or donating to the 2020 event can visit Howell’s Relay for Life page.
