2017 Rebelympics at Howell High School a Success
Music, laughter, and cheers filled the fields during Howell High School’s annual Rebelympics on June 1st. Rebelympics is a day of obstacle challenges and fun for students in the high school’s autism program organized by the school’s Peer Leaders. This year’s Rebelympics had a Hawaiian theme with the overall message being “we are ohana,” which means “we are family.” Participants were able to try their hands at the various events including a football toss, a javelin throw (made from pool noodles), and an inflatable obstacle course to name a few. Peer Leaders were on hand throughout the event to encourage and support their fellow students.
