FHS Students Participate in Interactive Workshop with the New York Times

A group of Advanced Placement Language students at Freehold High School recently had the chance to practice their opinion writing skills alongside Mara Gay, a member of the New York Times Editorial Board. A virtual workshop was held on March 10th where participants from Faustiene Smith and Kristin Keating’s classes were able to hone their opinion writing skills and share their work with other students from across the country.

This exciting opportunity came about thanks to Marla Sperling Reich, a Speech-Language Pathologist at the school who is a part of the New York Times Teaching Project Cohort.
