Marla Sperling Reich, Speech-Language Pathologist at FHS and FTHS, selected for the New York Times Teaching Project
Marla Sperling Reich, a Speech-Language Pathologist at FHS and FTHS, has been selected by the New York Times as one of 40 educators from around the country for the NY Times Teaching Project.
According to the New York Times, the 2021-22 program began with a four-day virtual institute in July 2021, during which participants explored new ways to use The Times and The Learning Network as curriculum resources, learned more about the behind-the-scenes journalism that creates the daily paper and began to create their own curriculum projects that fit the needs of their students and schools.
The program will continue through the 2021-22 school year as participants work on their curriculum projects, collaborate virtually, and share ideas with their fellow cohort members, their schools, and the larger Learning Network community.
