FTHS Junior Receives 2023 Carson Scholars Fund Award
Freehold Township High School junior Tyler Douglas is the recipient of the 2023 Carson Scholars Fund (CSF) Award. Tyler was selected for her demonstrating the highest standards of academic achievement, integrity, civic, and social responsibility. With this honor, Tyler received a scholarship award that will be invested for her college education. In addition to the scholarship money, she also received a medal and a certificate to mark this accomplishment. Tyler was honored in front of family, peers, and educators at the Carson Scholars Fund 27th Annual Awards Banquet.
The Carson Scholars Fund awards college scholarships to students in grades 4-11 who excel academically and are dedicated to serving their communities. Scholarship winners receive the honor of being named “Carson Scholars” and are awarded an Olympic-sized medal and a trophy for their school to celebrate their accomplishments. The Carson Scholars Fund, Inc. was founded in 1994 now retired Johns Hopkins Pediatric Neurosurgeon Benjamin S. Carson, M.D. and his wife, Candy.
