FTHS Students Perform with Prestigious Music Groups
The musical talent at Freehold Township High School has been on full display with students being accepted into multiple high-level performance groups.
Thirteen students represented their school in the 2022 All-Shore Mixed Chorus. Student performers included Natalie Moradian, Beau Romanowski, Piper Doherty, Conner Keough, Emily Landolfi, Noah Zalika, Sydney Bryant, Daniel Loges, Grace Lorenzo, Shain Stanley, Allison Karmazin, Ryan Thaw, and Lia Polisano. The group joined other selected performers from Monmouth and Ocean counties in a concert in early February.
Six students were also selected to perform in the All-Shore Jazz Band. Student performers included Victoria Harper, who was selected as the #1 Baritone Saxophone in the Shore and also scored 2nd on Bass; Justin Morgan, who was selected as the #1 Tenor Saxophone in the Shore and also scored 2nd on bari sax and 3rd on alto; Douglas Luke who was selected as #2 Trombone in the Shore; Brian Yaniro on Trumpet, Jacob Goetke on Trombone, and Annabelle Fredericks also on Trombone. The group joined other selected performers from Monmouth and Ocean counties in a concert in early February.
In addition, three students were selected to perform in the All-State Band and Orchestra. Student performers include Jessica Hakanson on Flute in the Wind Ensemble. Jessica was selected as 3rd in New Jersey and also 3rd in the state on Piccolo. Justin Morgan will play Principal Soprano Saxophone in the Symphonic Band. Justin was also #4 in New Jersey on Tenor Saxophone. Jason Feldman will play the Tuba in the Symphonic Band. Jason was selected as #8 Tuba in the state. The trio will perform with students from across New Jersey on February 26, 2022.
