FTHS Sophomore Selected as New Jersey FFA Association February Member of the Month

Elizabeth Stenard Freehold Township High School’s Elizabeth Stenard was selected as the New Jersey FFA Association’s February Member of the Month by the State FFA Executive Board. Elizabeth will now be in the running for the 2018-2019 New Jersey FFA Member of the Year.

Elizabeth, a sophomore in the Animal and Botanical Sciences Magnet Program, said she feels that FFA has given her a chance to thrive personally, professionally, and academically. According to its website, the FFA is a national organization of 649,355 members in 7,859 local chapters for students enrolled in Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Education. FFA activities and award programs complement classroom instruction in 37 New Jersey agriculture and agriscience programs. Students gain practical experience from their activities in the classroom and in supervised agricultural experience projects. FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
