The purpose of the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (2018) is to provide federal funding to more fully develop the academic and career and technical skills of secondary students who elect to enroll in CTE by assisting students in meeting high standards, integrating academic and career and technical instruction, linking secondary and post-secondary education, and providing students with the knowledge and skills to keep the United States competitive in the global marketplace
