Message from the Superintendent
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 academic school year!
The Freehold Regional High School District is a premier school district that seeks to create opportunities for each student to experience a sense of belonging, find their passion, and grow academically. The core work of the school district centers on developing confident learners and productive members of society who are prepared for their chosen pathway after high school.
The Student-Family Handbook is a guide to our district’s practices, guidelines, and procedures. This Handbook is reviewed annually by a committee of administrators from our six high schools to ensure all expectations are communicated. We have established extremely high standards for our district, many of which are included in this Handbook and in our Strategic Plan Compass 3.0, which guides the direction of our six schools. Please take the time to familiarize yourself and your child(ren) with the Handbook and Strategic Plan. Student familiarity and compliance with expectations ensure a healthy school climate that is conducive to learning. Please also take some time to review district policies and regulations, which are available on our website.
The District prioritizes student engagement to ensure learning and academic growth. In an effort to achieve this outcome for all students and eliminate disruptions in the classroom setting and school, there has been a change to the District cell phone policy beginning with the 2024-2025 school year. Students will now be required to have their cell phones put away during class. The cell phone violation procedures are further outlined in this Handbook. Please review them with your child(ren).
I sincerely thank you for your support and commitment to your child(ren)’s education. Best wishes for an exciting and rewarding school year!
Warmest regards,
Dr. Nicole P. Hazel
Superintendent of Schools
