Congratulations to Marlboro HS's TSA Winners!
On Saturday, April 14th, 2018 Marlboro High School students competed at the New Jersey Technology Student Association State Conference. At the New Jersey chapter conference, 62 schools had over 1,500 students competing.
According to its website, the Technology Student Association (TSA) is the only student organization devoted exclusively to the needs of technology education students. Open to students who are enrolled in, or who have completed, technology education courses, TSA is comprised of over 190,000 elementary, middle, and high school students in 2,000 schools spanning 48 states and 3 countries.
Senior Sreya Das won first place in Essays on Technology. She was also inducted into the National Technology Honor Society for outstanding efforts in academic studies, leadership, and services to the school and community.
Juniors Briana Maniaci, Dani Genco, Isabella Minucci, and Melissa Sansolo won third place in Digital Video Production.
Because they have placed within the top three, all five of these students have qualified to represent New Jersey at the TSA National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, from June 22nd to June 26th.
Other events that MRHS students competed in were Animatronics, Biotechnology Design, Children's Stories, Coding, Debating Technological Issues, Dragster Design, Extemporaneous Speech, Photographic Technology, Promotional Design, Technology Problem Solving, and Video Game Design. Everyone worked very hard and made amazing projects, and we are proud of our MRHS TSA members regardless of whether or not they placed.
