The Regional Alternative Instruction for Success in Education (RAISE) Academy in Freehold High School is an alternative school for Freehold Regional High School District students who are having difficulty succeeding in the traditional high school setting. We know that every student is unique and learns differently. At RAISE Academy we offer students the same superior educational opportunities as our high schools and rigorous and challenging curriculum for students to achieve academic success.
The student's educational experience at RAISE must include the 120 credits mandated by the New Jersey State Department of Education guidelines. Students attend RAISE Academy Monday through Friday, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Courses encompass the basic requirements of Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Health and Physical Education, World Languages, Visual and Performing Arts, 21st Century Life and careers, and Financial Literacy. Students may also be scheduled for electives in content areas.
At RAISE, the district's Student and Parent Handbook regulations are enforced. While the goal is for each student to achieve successful transition back to his or her high school, students may remain at RAISE Academy until graduation when they will receive a Freehold Regional High School District diploma.
