Bilingual Parent Advisory meeting brings parents and staff together
Every year, the ESL department holds four Bilingual Parent Advisory (BPAC) meetings to continue the vital relationship between teachers, parents, and students. Parents learn more about the ESL programs, their child's progress, and school life at the BPAC meetings.
February 16th's meeting was well-attended by the ESL parents, who were joined by each core content teacher and the ESL guidance counselor. Teachers prepared for the meeting by organizing folders for parents to take home, filled with school-life information, a calendar of important dates/tests, and the report card. All three ESL paraprofessionals assisted with translation between teacher and parent, and ELL students assisted as escorts to the parents as they arrived.
