Spooktacular Winners Announced!
The tradition of transforming downtown Freehold into a haunted hotspot continued this year with art students from the Freehold Regional High School District decorating the windows of local businesses as a part of the annual Spooktacular on Oct. 15.
This year, students from Freehold Township High School were awarded both first and second place, with students from Freehold High School securing the third place spot in the Window Painting Contest.
The volunteer Spooktacular judges awarded first place to Alana Lant and Megan Hurley for their design, “Skull with Peeling Face.”
Second place was awarded to Mackenzie Kean and Sammi Russo for their window, “Crystal Eyeball Globe.”
Third place went to SarahGrace Johnson and Billy Theodosatos for their painting, “Sun God Burns the Earth.”
The Freehold Regional High School District would like to extend its thanks to Federici's Family Restaurant in Freehold for generously donating pizza and beverages to the students while they painted.
The winners will presented awards during the Nov. 17th Board of Education meeting.
