Freehold Township High School’s Avery Cohen has always been interested in the art of film. The senior recently created a short movie which has been accepted into a local film festival.
Avery’s movie will be screened at The Brightside Tavern Film Festival in Jersey City this March. The film has been nominated for three awards in the student category including best actor, best New Jersey short, and best concept.
Avery is still awaiting word if the piece has been accepted into other festivals based in New York City.
