My wish for all is that the feeling that follows a tragedy, where people are just a little more appreciative, a little more flexible, and a little more understanding permeates throughout the New Year and beyond.

The members of the Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education are pleased to announce that Charles Sampson was unanimously appointed to serve as the district’s next Superintendent of Schools on Tuesday, Feb. 15.

Dr. Suzanne Koegler, currently the district's Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, has been appointed Acting Superintendent of Schools.

The Board of Education has hired West Hudson Associates as the consulting firm that will conduct the district’s superintendent search. Dr. William Librera, former New Jersey Commissioner of Education, and Dr. Peter Bastardo, former superintendent of the Freehold Township school district, will be conducting the search.
