The Special Education Advisory Council
The District’s Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) is a collaborative team of parents and district and school personnel that work to bring resources and information to parents of students with disabilities. The purpose of this group is to provide opportunities for parents and community members to share ideas, collaborate and offer input to the district regarding student programming. The council hosts a variety of workshops and informational events for parents and students throughout the school year to enhance their knowledge of special education resources and services.

Please note: this session will be held every other year starting this school year. Therefore if your child will be a senior during the 2014-2015 school year, you should consider attending this session.
Presenter: Mr. Ernest J. Oversen - Mr. Oversen, Director of Disability Services at Brookdale Community College, encourages students and parents to attend this informational session to learn about services and procedures to request accommodations at Brookdale. This session is designed to streamline the admissions and self-identification process as it is Brookdale’s goal to make each student’s transition into college as seamless as possible.
