Howell Sophomore's Song Sales to Benefit Ronald McDonald House
[UPDATE: Dec. 21 - Read the Asbury Park Press' article on Annalisa here.]
Annalisa de Sena, 15, a sophomore at Howell High School, is working to raise at least $100,000 for Ronald McDonald House in time for Christmas. Annalisa is using sales of her original performance of the song "There's Still Christmas" to raise money for the charity.
"There's Still Christmas" was written by Stevie Betts, a friend of the de Sena family who died of a brain tumor after writing the song.
"It's so beautiful, and there hasn't been a new Christmas song released in a very long time," Annalisa said. "I really wanted to honor Stevie by using this song to help the families of children in need.
"There's Still Christmas" can be downloaded from www.TheresStillChristmas.com for $1.25. Contact TheresStillChristmas@gmail.com for more information.
For the past 35 years, Ronald McDonald House has worked to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. The organization also helps families secure housing so they can be near sick children who need treatment far from home. This holiday season, Ronald McDonald House is working to raise $500,000 in donation by Dec. 31. For more information, visit rhmc.org.
