FHS Wins CBS Radio's "Last School Standing 2012" Contest
The Freehold Regional High School District is pleased to announce the Freehold High School (FHS) as the winners of CBS Radio 92.3 NOW’s “Last School Standing” contest!
“I am extremely proud of the students for demonstrating Freehold High School spirit. This is a prime example of what happens when our students get behind an endeavor, and it is really all about school pride and the prize was winning,” shared Freehold High School Principal, Linda Jewel.
More than 2000 other tri-state area high schools were no competition for the Freehold High School Colonials, making them the grand prize winner of a school concert with Epic Records music artist Cher Lloyd. Students began casting their votes on September 7, 2012 triumphing over Brooklyn Technical High School with more than 12,000 votes. The Brooklyn Technical High School won last year’s contest.
The contest runners-up were Brooklyn Technical High School, Bergen County Academies, Hillsborough High School and Montgomery High School.
The concert will be held at the iPlay America in Freehold, NJ on November 28, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.
