Howell HS Graduates on Broadway

By HHS - Posted on 27 April 2012

Thinking of going to the theatre this summer? Why not check out some of our very own graduates on Broadway, TV and around the world....

Tom Pelphrey (Class of 2000)

Tom is starring in the Broadway show "End of the Rainbow". It's a play about the last year of Judy Garland's life, and Tom plays her fifth and last husband, Mickey Deans. It's rumored to be the favorite for the Tony Awards this year. The show is absolutely fantastic - rave reviews from every critic and audience member. Get tickets while you can.

Nick Anastasia (Class of 2007)

Nick is starring as the lead tenor in "Voca People" on Broadway. It's a show that centers around 9 aliens who land on the planet earth, and recreate all the music from the '50's up to the present. If you love music and a cappella singing, you'll have a blast at this. Great for kids too.

Melanie Wildman (Class of 2011)

If you are off to Europe this winter, maybe you can catch Melanie, touring with the Broadway production of West Side Story in the role of Anybody's (the same role she played here at Howell four years ago).

Josh Pins (Class of 2009)

Josh, who starred as Action in West Side Story here four years ago, will also be touring the United States for 11 months next year in the Broadway tour of West Side Story. He will be playing the role of "Baby John" - ticket information will be available soon.

Marisa Patti (Class of 2012) and Michael McArther (Class of 2000)

Are you watching the hit TV show "Smash"? Marisa was featured in an episode as one of the high school actors on stage, and Michael has been featured as one of the dancers in three of the episodes - look closely and you can find him.

Taylor Feldman (Class of 2014)

Last week, ABC Dateline aired "My Kid Would Never Do That". In this episode, students were secretly videotaped, and pressured to get into a car with someone who they thought had been drinking. Taylor was one of the only students in the show who refused, and would not go with the driver under the influence.
