S& E Senior Ilana Porter wins award!

S& E Senior Ilana Porter is one of the 2011 winners of the Siemens Awards for Advanced Placement for students. Selection for this award is based on your exceptional performance in AP® math and science. The Siemens Awards for Advanced Placement are awarded each year to students with the greatest number of scores of 5 on eight AP math and science exams. Congratulations Ilana!! MHS is proud of your accomplishment!!

The Siemens Awards for Advanced Placement is a $300,000 annual commitment of support for the efforts of students, teachers and high schools that excel in STEM-related Advanced Placement initiatives across the nation. This includes $2,000 college scholarships for students (one male and one female in each state), $5,000 scholarships for a male and female national student winner, $1,000 grants in support of high schools that have made significant strides in AP STEM initiatives.
